What are the different types of stainless steel metal hoses?

1. Conduit Metal Hose: Conduit metal hoses are primarily made of stainless steel. Stainless steel metal hoses boast excellent flexibility, corrosion resistance, tensile strength, high-temperature resistance, and wear resistance, and are mainly used as protective conduits for wires and cables.
2. Corrugated Metal Hose: A corrugated metal hose primarily consists of a corrugated tube, a mesh sleeve, and fittings. The corrugated tube serves as the flexible component of the hose; it is made of thin-walled stainless steel and features a helical or annular corrugated profile. The mesh, woven from metal wires or strips in a specific pattern, is mounted on the outer surface of the stainless steel hose and provides both reinforcement and shielding. Fitting structures can be categorized into spiral type, flange type, and quick-connect type. Depending on specific requirements, the connections among the corrugated tube, mesh sleeve, and fittings can be achieved through welding, mechanical clamping, or a combination of both.
3. Plastic-coated metal hose: The plastic-coated metal hose is a new type of stainless steel metal hose. Its inner layer is specially treated using either stainless steel tubing or galvanized tubing, while the outer layer is made of PVC material, giving it excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and aging.
Currently, there are two types of hoses used by residents: one is a rubber hose, and the other is a stainless steel corrugated hose. The former typically has a service life of 18 months; if properly maintained, the stainless steel metal hose can last around 10 years. Rubber hoses tend to age after prolonged use. In particular, the connection between the hose and the gas stove is often secured with wire, which, over time, can easily lead to leaks, fractures, or loosening. Moreover, the rubber components of stainless steel metal hoses are vulnerable to punctures or bites from pets and rodents, potentially causing gas leaks. These hoses have a short service life, and residents tend to pay insufficient attention to their safety, resulting in widespread instances of continued use beyond their recommended lifespan. To address this issue, we have introduced stainless steel metal hoses with a service life of up to 10 years.
