Due to their light weight, flexibility, easy connection, and convenient disassembly, water testing is usually performed only after assembly, while hydraulic testing is generally carried out afterward. The nominal diameter of the waterproof sleeve shall exceed the diameter of the corrugated pipe by more than 200 mm. In areas where the groundwater level exceeds the elevation of the bottom of the excavated trench, measures must be taken during construction to lower the groundwater level, thereby preventing imbalance in the trench. Pipeline construction may commence only after the groundwater has been lowered to a point 0.3 to 0.5 meters below the lowest point of the trench bottom. Throughout the entire process—from assembly to backfilling—the bottom of the trench must remain free of standing water or cold-induced saturation.
