Before installation, we must ensure that the air pressure sealing the flue gas damper is at least 0.5 kPa higher than the upper limit of the flue gas pressure, and that the fan is designed with sufficient capacity and head. The outlet of the sealing fan is equipped with a check valve that remains tightly closed to prevent the standby fan from reversing under no-load conditions. The connection between the flue gas damper actuator and the vibration damper is direct, with the actuator connected directly to the body of the vibration damper. The protection rating of the actuators and junction boxes shall be no lower than IP65. The linkage mechanism uses ball-and-torque joints to ensure there is no idle travel during rotation and to guarantee excellent synchronization among all dampers on the same damper door.

Desulfurization damper door Installation connection method:

The desulfurization damper gate adopts a single-shaft, dual-damper design with air sealing. Each damper blade is surrounded by a nickel-alloy sealing plate, and a sealing air valve is installed at the sealed air inlet on the damper gate body. The sealing air valve is mechanically linked to the damper gate. When the flue gas damper is open, the sealing air valve closes; when the flue gas damper is closed, the sealing air valve opens. When the desulfurization damper gate is closed, sealing air is injected between the two blades, effectively isolating the media on either side. So, what is the installation and connection method for this product? Let’s take a look below.

Installation and Connection Method for Desulfurization Damper Doors

Before installation, we must ensure that the air pressure sealing the flue gas damper is at least 0.5 kPa higher than the upper limit of the flue gas pressure, and that the fan is designed with sufficient capacity and head. The outlet of the sealing fan is equipped with a check valve that remains tightly closed to prevent the standby fan from reversing under no-load conditions. The connection between the flue gas damper actuator and the vibration isolator is direct, with the actuator connected directly to the body of the vibration isolator. The protection rating of the actuators and junction boxes shall be no lower than IP65. The linkage mechanism uses ball-and-torque joints to ensure there is no idle travel during rotation, thereby guaranteeing excellent synchronization among all dampers on the same damper door.

Desulfurization damper door The installation utilizes bolted flange connections. The flange guard we provide is tightly connected to the flue, ensuring that the load from the damper door is transferred through the steel flue to the flue support structure. The damper’s main shaft is arranged horizontally. The main shaft is made of suitable steel and is equipped with a clearly visible marker indicating the position of the shaft-end damper, as well as an interlocked limit switch. The flue damper actuator is fitted with a handwheel, allowing manual operation in case of power failure. Lifting lugs are positioned appropriately outside the frame for easy maintenance and installation.

The capacity of the wind-powered heater for the desulfurization damper seal meets the requirements for sealing air volume, and ensures that the heating temperature of the sealing air is no lower than 100℃. The electric heater can automatically adjust its temperature according to changes in air volume. Each FGD is equipped with two sealing fans (one in operation and one on standby), each paired with a control cabinet; the two fans are interlocked. The electric feeder is equipped with a separate control cabinet and is interlocked with the fan. When starting up, first start the fan and then the electric heater. When shutting down, be sure to disconnect the heater before stopping the fan, with a delay of 5 to 10 minutes in between to prevent damage to the electric heating elements.

Next, let’s talk about the storage standards for desulfurization damper doors: Desulfurization damper door It should be stored on a dry, level surface—specifically, placed on a flat ground supported by square wooden blocks, with the support points located around the frame of the damper door. The spacing between the supports should be appropriate for the deflection of the damper door. A certain distance should be maintained between the damper door and the ground. Drying of accessories such as the damper door’s swinging arm is susceptible to contamination. Measures must be in place around the damper door to prevent damage from collisions or impacts.
